Jeanette B. Taylor
Jeanette Beatrice Taylor (born May 15, 1975) is an American politician and community organizer who has served as the alderman of Chicago's 20th ward since May 2019. Taylor, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, has a strong background in community activism, having led a successful hunger strike to prevent the closure of Dyett High School and serving on the local school council for over 20 years. As alderman, she has championed affordable housing initiatives and opposed regressive budget policies, consistently advocating for the rights and needs of her constituents.
